Please excuse the obscene trumpet blowing but there was a really nice review of Doing Without Delia in the Irish Times on Saturday, to go with equally nice ones in the Guardian and Independent recently.
You don’t tend to expect reviews for paperbacks, so this was a really gratifying surprise.
The Irish Times have been good to me once before - they nominated me for a literary award for my first book back in, must have been 2002-ish. On the subject of awards - a subject I introduce here deliberately in order to segue into more, prolonged bragging - I’ve also been nominated for something called the Gourmand World Cook Book Awards for Sacré Cordon Bleu. Which is nice.
End of trumpet.
